Maintaining safe job sites is our most important job, and one at which we excel. The safety of our employees, of the employees of our subcontractors, and of our clients and their guests is our absolute top priority, and it shows.
Every job has an assigned safety specialist to ensure that all work is executed in the safest way and that all employees have received the training they need to do their job safely. Not only does every employee receive regular safety training, but they also receive ongoing training related to the unique aspects each job.
All field supervisors are CPR and First-Aid Certified. GH Phipps conducts pre-bid safety meetings with all potential subcontractors. Safety instructions and rules of conduct are written into each subcontractor's bid and our safety requirements are reviewed with each subcontractor prior to awarding contracts.
On one recent job, with more than 900,000 person-hours logged, we experienced no lost-time accidents. That is a staggering statistic--one we strive for on every job.
