GH Phipps Construction Companies is selected for National Construction Safety and Excellence Award
Greenwood Village, Colo., — March 10, 2009 — The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) has awarded GH Phipps Construction Companies first place for safety and excellence in the category of Building Division, 700,001-1 million work hours.
The AGC Construction Safety and Excellence Awards (CSEA) is an ongoing and evolving effort by AGC to recognize companies who have developed and implemented excellent safety and loss
prevention programs achieved through management commitment, employee involvement, and program innovation and risk control.

Judging criteria includes evidence of company management commitment, active employee participation, safety training, work site hazard identification and control, and safety program
innovation. GH Phipps was selected from approximately 120 submittals in the category at the chapter level, and 32 of those were forwarded for the national review.
