Historic Contractor Builds New Home
4/28/2008
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Greenwood Village, Colo. - Following a successful move into a new building in Greenwood Village, GH Phipps employees have been able to enjoy the progressive design-the space is open
and bright, with lots of color, and is technologically advanced. But it's also very much connected with its new surroundings.
According to Rhonda Kay, GH Phipps' Chief Financial Officer, "The building is phenomenal. It has sweeping views of the Front Range, an efficient use of space, recycling programs and other
innovations. It reiterates our GH Phipps' commitment to green technologies, particularly as we expect to soon hear about our LEED certification."
"As an employee-owned company, the comfort of our people was of utmost importance," said CEO Charlie Graft. "We remodeled an existing building with energy efficiency, accessibility to
light rail, convenience to metro locations, and modernized technology."
Plasma TVs, digital signage and video conferencing capabilities are just some of the tech highlights in the new building, which is located at I-25 and Orchard Rd. At the same time, the space pays honor to Phipps' long history - in fact, the Gerald H. Phipps Boardroom is an elegant and modern space, honoring the man who founded the company.
The choice to leave the City and County of Denver was difficult, but an important decision in the evolution of the company. Now with offices in Fort Collins/Loveland and Colorado Springs, new metropolitan headquarters simply makes sense. GH Phipps has been a part of the Colorado landscape for more than 50 years. New branding, emphasized by the launch of a new logo, points to the company's growth and vision.
"Last year, we created a five-year strategic plan, and evaluating branding and position was a part of the base of what we worked out," said Victoria Hatfield, Director of Business Development.
The new logo and look for Phipps amplifies the company's strong commitment to quality and integrity.
"GH Phipps has an incredible legacy, from CSU's campus to the North and UCCS' to the South, and The New Children's Hospital in between," said Hatfield. "It is important to carry that heritage forward. The new branding is not a core change from who we are and what has made GH Phipps a great company, but it is a better way to help others understand that we are progressive and going places."
"All of our superintendents, safety specialists and field employees should also be recognized for the effort and attention to safety that all have exhibited," said Klanderud.
