Working at GH Phipps is more than just a job. Many of our employees are the sons and daughters of previous employees. When we hire new people, we try to hire the kinds of people whose children will someday be proud to follow in their parents' footsteps.

This loyalty between GH Phipps and its employees is not accidental. We have had a profit-sharing plan for more than 40 years. Today, more than 100 of our employees are part-owners of the company. Because of this, we hire carefully.

Our People

One thing that truly distinguishes GH Phipps from other builders is the dedication and loyalty of employees. GH Phipps introduced a profit-sharing plan in the 1960s, and when founder Gerald Phipps died in 1993, ownership of the company was transferred to the profit-sharing trust. Today, more than 100 employees share ownership in the company.

People who are hired by GH Phipps tend to stick around. The company has very low turnover-the average employee has been with the company more than 15 years. Today's payroll includes many people who have followed parents, grandparents, or other relatives to the company.
